GOVT PLANS TO SHUT DOWN POWER GRID IN THE EVENT OF MAJOR CME 9 AUG 2013

GOVT PLANS TO SHUT DOWN POWER GRID IN THE EVENT OF MAJOR CME. The U.K. & the U.S. govt.s reportedly have plans to shut down the power grids if the warning of a CME (coronal mass ejection) occurs. Before a CME hits, ahead of it are photons travelling at the speed of light. It takes the photons (PAE) 8 1/3 minutes to travel from the sun to earth. The CME is travelling relatively slow compared to that, only 2,000 miles per sec. which means about 13 hours of travel to cover the 92.9 million miles. One source seemed to indicate perhaps up to 4 days of warning are possible. I really haven’t studied the reliability of their CME forecasting, which in part is done by satellites closer to the sun; at any rate, they will have some kind of heads up, and if plans are in place, we could see grids be shut off, w/ the resulting difficulties & chaos that comes w/ blackouts. How likely is a CME now? What else is important on this topic? We’ll cover these.

Thinking on the subject, I couldn’t help remember what someone said, “Be a warrior, not a worrier!” So true, I have no desire to cause worry, only to stimulate us to think, what would I do if the power grid went off??? And what would others do?? Additionally, I thought how powerful Creation is, & how humbling it is to see a tsunami, or just the ocean at the beach, or an active volcano. It really puts mankind in their proper place…as man can fall in love w/ his achievements and forget the bigger picture. King David wrote the lyrics in Psalm 8, “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him?” (v. 3-4a)

A while ago, I posted about the risks or improbability of various astronomical risks…such as the extreme improbability of a black hole hitting the earth. As I remember, I stressed our own sun is our biggest astronomical threat. The graphs of CME incidents point to 2013 being a peak year for CMEs. If that holds true, & we get something bigger than what Quebec got in March, 1989, it would destroy the power grid wherever it struck, which is why they say they need plans to protect it by shutting it off before the CME hits.
.
Montreal, Quebec 25 years ago had their entire power grid knocked out by a CME, with multiple capacitors destroyed, transmissions down & their hydroelectric generator down. Where power continued in the states, garage doors went up & down all night. During that same CME, the NY and other area states had their power grids very stressed & they barely managed to continue by the narrowest of margins using backups & getting power from other areas unaffected.

If a CME comes fast & heavy enough, it will lift the Earth’s magnetic layers, and allow charged particles directly into the earth’s atmosphere. Recently, this happened. Here’s NASA’s account of the bizarre event: “The event began with little warning when a gentle gust of solar wind delivered a bundle of magnetic fields from the Sun to Earth. Like an octopus wrapping its tentacles around a big clam, solar magnetic fields draped themselves around the magnetosphere and cracked it open. The cracking was accomplished by means of a process called “magnetic reconnection”. The opening was huge—four times wider than Earth itself,” says Wenhui Li, a space physicist at the Univ. of New Hampshire who has been analyzing it. Li’s colleague Jimmy Raeder, also of New Hampshire, says “10 to the 27th power particles per second were flowing into the magnetosphere—that’s a 1 followed by 27 zeros. This kind of influx is an order of magnitude greater than what we thought was possible.” –NASA.gov

Exciting SIMS (computer simulated models) each day were posted on the Internet displaying what would happen when the coming CME’s hit the earth’s magnetosphere. I am told that since Fukashima, the better models are not posted, at any rate, there are still people covering sun activity daily on the Internet.
Could a false flag flare be created?? If it could, many of us would not be surprised if the PTSNB did take advantage of such a scenario. Gas pumps would not work. The air conditioning would be off….And then there are the banks & ATMs… And it might take a few days to check the grid & get it back to normal. …So as a closing thought, what would we do if we had to return to living without electricity? Our forefathers did it w/out problem, but then they were not dependent on cell phones, gas pumps, computers & hairdryers.
