Predators 19 SEP 2013

There are both human & animal predators. This post explores some of the issues of the reintroduction of wolves, & the reports by hunters of massively large hybrid wolves (like 170-200 lb. hybrids) being shot in relation to the larger issues facing society.
.
My friend Jeremy Gibson was showing me photos from hunters he talked with showing enormous unusual looking wolves that they had shot in the wild. Jeremy was commenting that the elk have gotten quiet & have to be much more stealthy to survive. The elk are stressed. When he spoke, I was thinking about how the subject of reintroducing wolves across America raises many issues…and many of those issues relate to the New World Order’s agenda.
.
For a moment, let’s set aside the issue of wolves, and look at four points of the World Order’s agenda: a. the destruction of the small farmer & rancher, b. to make it more difficult for people to live in the wilderness off the grid, so they can be controlled, c. to increase people’s belief that people are the problem (thereby making people happy with depopulation & genocidal policies), d. to create famine & other Armageddon stresses. The reintroduction of the wolf across America certainly lines up with those points of their agenda.
.
By 1970, the wolf had gone the way of the Dodo bird in America. He had been eradicated except in Minnesota & Wisconsin. The Red wolf was declared extinct in the wild in 1980. (There were still a few rare shootings in other places…denied by the system, but in general the wolf was gone.) Congress passed the Endangered Species Act (ESA) in ’73, and in ’76 the wolf was listed as an endangered species. The government reintroduced wolves: Mexican grey wolves in AZ in 1998, grey wolves from Canada in ‘95-96 into Wyoming’s Yellowstone Park, red wolves in NC in ’86 & in SC in ’89, and later more grey wolves into ID, MT, OR, and CA. From ’95 to 2003, the wolf population at Yellowstone rose to 174 wolves. Tourists were pleased to see them. Environmentalists are pleased that a species that was almost lost has made a comeback. There is a certain correctness that humans should manage wildlife rather than simply eradicate it like was done to the defenseless buffalo. God placed us as stewards of creation.
.
Is the reintroduction of wolves good stewardship, or is it part of a larger agenda? For sure it seems romantic to have wolves running around. But let’s be honest, sheep are defenseless against wolves, as is illustrated when wolves killed 30 sheep in 2009 near Baker City, OR. The elk population where wolves are living is now half of what it was, & instead of moving in herds of hundreds of elk, they are moving in small groups of about a dozen in hopes they can elude the clever wolves. The wolves that are being introduced to WY, MT, ID, WA & OR are larger than what was here before, and perhaps some of them are hybrids. Hybrids are being raised in MT, TX and perhaps other places & are for sale for those who want a wolfdog. Dogs & wolves are of the same species, even though they are vastly different. They sometimes interbreed, creating a wolfdog. The German Shepherd breed began w/ the original German Shepherd being ¼ wolf. Wolfdogs have a better sense of smell, and at times unpredictable behavior, and can be more aggressive. Malamute hybrids are popular, and Siberian huskies are also used for wolfdogs. One of the forest rangers here in OR who I knew had a Malamute hybrid, and if raised with an owner like him can be a pet similar to a dog. Are some of these hybrids now loose in the wild? And if so, will they have less fear of hunting near humans?
.
Coyotes can also mate w/ dogs & wolves. Coyotes are smaller than wolves & co-exist better w/ people. They run from people where wolves will stand their ground. When wolves were removed, it gave coyotes (their outmatched competition) the opportunity to move into their habitat. Coyotes were orig. only in western USA, but they headed east, & by 1950 were showing up in New England states. Coyotes can also run in packs like dogs & wolves or live as a pair or single. All three mark their territory by pee-scent. Wolves will guard their territory from other wolves. What is frequently happening is that bears take whatever the wolves kill, & wolves won’t fight a bear. But man is the only real danger to wolves. And ranchers who can’t afford the loss of a cow or lamb are now losing their herds to wolves who like beef & lamb for dinner.
.
As much as the govt. has spent on returning wolves to the wild, they should reimburse all these farmers & ranchers for lost animals! Or perhaps all the people who rejoice at the return of the wolves & donate to the Sierra Club should take up a donation for these farmers & ranchers. But this gets back to the bad attitudes that these people have towards the people who produce their food; there is a real disconnect between different groups in our society. (Which is another problem the system loves to increase.) In spite of groups like the MT stockgrowers being hostile to the reintroduction of vigorous predators which don’t play by our rules…the PTSNB had the power to ignore their concerns. For the farmers & ranchers it felt chilling, like predatory serial killers held in our high-custody prisons had been released upon their children. Any thinking person should realize that the needs of the wolves & people are going to clash…that’s why they got eradicated to begin with. So the interesting question is: where is all this going to go? I believe that the issue of the reintroduction of the wolves across America should also be debated in relationship to the larger agenda of the NWO, & that solutions that are the best win-win solutions for creation should be found.
