It was requested that I write on the prosperity preachers. This post is meant to re-affirm what Yahshua’s lifestyle & his faith style really was, in order to encourage us to have that genuine living faith that can overcome the world. Many of my fb friends may be aware of the things in this post, so its benefit is more to exhort us than to teach us to discern what is fake compared to genuine spiritual reality. We are warned about greed: “For to be carnally minded [interested in material wealth, etc.] is death…Because the carnal mind is enmity against God…” ROM 8:6-8. “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption…” GAL 6:8 “But she that lives in pleasure is dead [spiritually] while she lives.” 1 TIM 5:6

TRUE BELIEVERS HAVE DIFFERENT GIFTS BY THE SAME SPIRIT; WHILE WOLVES IN SHEEP CLOTHING CLAIM TO HAVE THAT SPIRIT MORE THAN OTHERS. It has always been important to me to be slow to criticize those that call themselves brothers. Just like an Olympic skater may try a triple flip and fail, just because Christians fail in their spiritual walk does not mean they are hypocrites. My calling from God is to expose the World, give people hope, and call people back to the ancient wisdom of the Scripture. Now the famous word-faith ministers often encourage people to copy the world & its pop culture (they claim Jesus wore designer clothes, & would have driven a Mercedes or Cadillac if they’d been available). They give false hopes to people, and during their preaching often twist the Scriptures to distort its message. In spite of this, I have followed Christ’s teachings, and have always been reluctant to pull the tares that the enemy has sown and which are growing along with the authentic wheat (genuine believers).

I have faith that Christ can advocate for himself, and that he can be found if people seek him. If people don’t like the word-faith ministers they don’t have to watch them. On the other hand not only are they an impediment to people getting real spiritual help, some of them are definitely working for the World System; and even though they claim powers from the Holy Spirit, it is obvious it is a deceptive counterfeit “holy Spirit”, not the real thing.

FALSE PROPHECIES. The Word of God warns that “people will arise to distort the truth.” Besides preaching false prophecies, one can be a false prophet by falsely proclaiming unscriptural interpretations of the Word, both of which happen with the Word Faith ministers. A few examples illustrate a wider pattern: A.A. Allen prophesied that he could “turn dollar bills into twenties” and “raise the dead”. Neither happened. Benny Hinn prophesied on 1/1/90 that Fidel Castro would die in the ‘90’s, & that God would destroy the entire homosexual community of America by fire by 1995. Neither happened. Examples of attributing false things to God abound, here are a few: Kenneth Hagin, “Jesus was re-created from a satanic being…” or perhaps an extended quote should be given…”Jesus was re-created from a satanic being to an incarnation of God, you, too, can become an incarnation—as much an incarnation as Jesus Christ of Nazareth.” Kenneth Copeland, ” the biggest failure in the Bible…is God…Now, the reason you don’t think of God as a failure is He never said He’s a failure. And you’re not a failure till you say you’re one.” One final example, Crefto Dollar (what a name!) taught, “Because you came from God you are gods—you’re not just human.”

BLAB IT & GRAB IT. Name it, & claim it. “What I confess, I possess.” The Word Faith ministers appeal to the greed of their listeners. The love of money is the root of all evil. Desperate poor people love to hear that all they have to do is speak wealth, and they will be wealthy. Or as Joel Osteen put it, the law of attraction has 3 simple steps: ask, believe, & receive. (I did a previous post on how Americans love to be told that in a few easy steps they can have what they want. It is a popular gimmick with many things…such as the book titled, “Learn Japanese in 10 minutes a day”.) People are told what they want to hear. The ancient false prophets did the exact same thing.

FLEECING THE SHEEP/PILLAGING THE POOR. The Word of God warns, “false prophets…in their greed these teachers will exploit you.” 2 PTR 2:1-3 The Word Faith ministers have lots of gimmicks to gain the money of their audiences, one of the best ones is their concept of seed money. One said, “Let your seed represent your need…” In other words, the size of your donation will determine the size of your miracle. As Rod Parsley said, “there’s a miracle attached to your seed.” This money is then used to provide lavish lifestyles for these famous Word Faith ministers. F.K.C. Price said, “The reason why I drive a Rolls Royce—I am following Jesus’ steps.” John Avanzini preaches that Jesus was rich. He said, “…if Jesus was rich, I, too, want to be rich.” As one Word Faith minister preached, “Empty your checking account! Empty it out, at the voice of the prophet!” Their audiences are promised riches & luxury. When their listeners donate large amounts of seed money and fail to get anything, typically the Word Faith ministers blame the sheep they fleeced for not having faith, being double minded, and dozens of other pretexts for why God didn’t make the suckers rich like the false prophets predicted.

THE REAL YAHSHUA (JESUS). Yahshua was born into humble settings. He and his family suffered many difficulties. When he went into ministry he was not rich, nor did he have a big house like some of the Word Faith ministers claim. Yahshua tried to get our focus on spiritual things, not material carnal things. Rather than taking, he gave. The beloved disciple John, who understood the heart of Christ said it so well: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1 JN 2:15-17

INTENTIONAL SUBVERSION. The type of faith Yahshua exercised was totally different than the mental will power (faith in faith) that the Word Faith ministers advocate. The faith that they advocate is really witchcraft and magick, and indeed one ex-Illuminati Christian minister told me he was trained to introduce these magical ways of using words into the Christian churches under the disguise of faith & visualization.

THINK ON THESE THINGS… Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely. PHP 4:8
God’s best to you my friend. May you be blessed with an abundance of spiritual wealth.
