CHIPPED DEBIT CARD 15 APR 2015

My bank just issued me a new debit card, even though my old one was fine, so I was suspicious about the change. Why would the bank spend money on this unnecessary change? Asking my bank manager about why they issued a new card did not bring forth the truth. My old card used a magnetic strip. The new card will have both the old magnetic strip technology and a chip for the new chip terminals. While the bank personnel & the cover email from my bank were not honest about why the new card was being issued…I was told that some business had compromised many cards, and this was a security measure to help me(!).…I persevered in my research until I got the real answer. Online there was an article explaining the new cards and… of course telling me that the chip would be “more secure”. Yeah right. Sounds like, “Forward march to the new world order!” “Drums keep pounding a rhythm to my brain. La de da de de, la de da de da… And the beat goes on, and the beat goes on.” Hey, Gen. Custer, I don’t want to go there!”
