GOO, GOO, GAA, GAA: A Bible based message on apostate preaching.(10 SEPT 2016)

There is a little understood Bible verse, where the prophet of God Isaiah says the Hebrew words of the apostate religious leaders were, “tsav, tsav, tsav, tsav, qav,qav,qav,qav, ze’er sham, ze’er sham”,(A) which in essence in English was: “goo, goo, gaa, gaa”. Just gibberish. In fact, some Hebrew scholars argue that the transliteration (the actual words) should have been left in the text, rather than translators trying to make sense of them. By the time most translators get done with this gibberish in Hebrew…it actually comes out sounding rather profound. Part of the problem for translators is that one has to slow down & think to grasp who the un-named “he” is in ISA 28:9a. People have been all over the place in who they think it is. The prophet of God’s message in this section of Scripture (ISA 28) have direct prophetic application to what we face today, and is the focus of this message.

TODAY’S NONSENSE. It never ceases to amaze me the gibberish that comes out of the religious leaders today; it might as well be “goo, goo, gaa, gaa.” They are busy naming & claiming it, having their congregations bark like dogs, and eat grass. A televangelist tells his audience: “And there is this old lady worshiping right in front of the platform. And the Holy Spirit spoke to me, the gift of faith come on me. He said: ‘Kick her in her face…’” (B) Another says, “I love to preach, I just don’t like people.” “I am a little god. I have His name. I am one with Him. I’m in covenant relationship. I am a little god. Critics be gone!”(C) Speaking of critics, it well know how hateful televangelists can be towards any criticism. Benny Hinn wanted a Holy Spirit machine gun to shoot his critics: “Sometimes I wish God would give me a Holy Ghost machine gun. I’d blow your head off!” Sometimes you hear modern preachers tell their flocks to prayer even though it “won’t help or change things”. And a final quote comes from Billy Graham, who told Chinese audiences that if the Bible did not exist, the world should use Mao’s Little Red book of quotes. Perhaps the reader has his or her own apostate quote that he could add here.

APOSTATE PREACHING & PROPHETS. Many of you know these apostates were prophesied to be here. 1 & 2 Timothy & Titus warn repeatedly about how people “will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itchy ears;”(D) “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, & doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy…”(E) Yep! And like Yahshua told the corrupt religious leaders of his day, “the Kingdom will taken from you & given to a nation bringing forth fruit.”(F)… and when he referred to religious fruit did not mean fruit as in bigger donations.

GOD’S STANDARD JUDGMENT. God’s ready to turn some “temple tables” over. In a section after the “tsav”, goo goo quote, the prophet of God tells what judgments would fall on the nation & their religious leaders for not listening to God’s plain words; they would be ruled by “A people of obscure speech, beyond perception, of a stammering tongue that you cannot understand.”(G) This is the standard judgment, laid out in the law: “The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand.” DT 28:49. This is standard judgment is repeated at JER 15:15. For America, this language that we cannot understand is Chinese. Since our leaders listen to senseless drivel, rather than God’s word, that will be the judgment….more unintelligible speech from foreign conquerors. If this judgment goes forward, they will speak Chinese, or as the expression goes, “It’s all Greek to me!”

COMPARING THAT PT. IN TIME (730 B.C. to 705 B.C.) W/ TODAY (1995-2016). The prophet of God describes his contemporary culture as a “death” culture…which also matches today.(H) He says his culture has “made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter.” Wow, that is such an excellent description of America today!(I) We are indeed taking shelter in lots of lies! The prophet describes the “vomit on the tables where they are drinking” and it sounds like the modern day parties Bill & Hillary threw while in the White House.(J) The apostate religious leaders in Jerusalem were right there: “They also reel with wine & stagger with strong drink…they err in vision, they stumble in giving judgment.” Female Rev. Zina Pierre, was one of 28 black ministers to endorse Hillary for President. Ironically, this written message is based on Isaiah, and Zina claims her ministry is based on ISA 10:17. She was a Baptist who graduated from Catholic University & serves politicians in Wash., D.C. Isaiah said that perverse religious leaders were simply a symptom of their society.
