THERE IS A PLACE OF QUIET REST NEAR TO THE HEART OF GOD 27 DECEMBER 2018

The purpose of this message is to provide spiritual direction for those from God’s faithful elect with ears to hear. The Body will be confronted with situations where our efforts will get in the way of God, we can’t part the Red Sea waters we face, and to try just gets in the way of what God can do.

THE OVERCOMER’S PLACE. “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh…”(A) Veils separate & keep things holy: face veils, prayer veils and the curtain in the Temple. There are different places for the believer just as there were different places for the believer in ancient Jerusalem’s sequential Temples of God. There is a deep place, the overcomer’s place, which is described in EX 14:13: “Be still and know that I am God.” This is not equivalent to the Temple’s courts of praise where lots of singing and noise was & is made. No, it is a far more profound place; it’s the “still-small-voice” place where all becomes Christ and not me. We often try too hard with our Christian religion, but there is a deeper place, a place where we “stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord”(B)

ENTERING HIS PRESENCE. Imagine entering the greatest throne room (or courtroom). Would you just repetitively chatter or chant away before the majesty of the king (or judge)? No, when we enter into God’s presence—in true obedience & worship”—we will be still & prostrate. “Be still and know that I am God.” We are nothing, therefore our actions can add nothing. “For those who wait on YHWH [the LORD] shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles…Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the dust on the balance;…All nations before Him [YHWH] are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.”(C) Not only are we nothing, the nations such as the UN, NATO, USA, etc. are counted less than nothing. When we received salvation we turned our lives completely over to God to handle. We let Him show us what He could do. We entered into Him & let Him do the work.

FELLOWSHIP OF SUFFERING & THEN THE OVERCOMER’S PLACE OF RESURRECTION. “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.”(D) Christ warned his disciples they would have to bear their crosses and come after him. There is a place of suffering for believers, spiritually it’s Friday. But despair not, Sunday is coming. There is a place on Sunday for the overcomer, where we are in the likeness of his resurrection. Romans chapter 6 is addressed to overcomers who are servants of righteousness. Yahshua hanging on the cross had to let God rescue him. Those who want to enter into His place for overcomers, will have to let God rescue us. We need to press into Him, into the high place of God, through obedience & true worship [not religion]…and quietly let God be God. God gives His Holy Spirit “to them that obey Him.”(E)
