5 ATTITUDES OF THE APOCALYPSE. (7 JULY 2016)

A message on REV 3:5, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life.” Throughout the Word of God, it has referred to a Book of Life, and that people’s names will be blotted out of it.(A) This message will cover 5 attitudes that will cause us to have our names blotted out.

BLOTTED OUT. You will note that you begin with your name written in the Book of Life…and that it is subsequently blotted out; this sequence is described from Exodus to Revelations. Therefore, we can conclude this is an understanding that has permeated the ranks of God’s faithful throughout history. We can also note, that overcoming in the last days is critical if we want to maintain our name in the Book of Life!!! We, you & I, have no leeway here, we must be overcomers!!!

NEITHER HOT NOR COLD, An Attitude of Indifference. The Word of God in that same chapter telling us that we must be overcomers in these difficult, terrible end times, also goes on to warn about lukewarmness. (REV 3:15) Lukewarmness is an attitude of indifference. It means the person could care less about the truth or defending it. This person is not disturbed by heresy and gross sin within the Body of Christ. He is not concerned about how well he follows Christ.

NO LOVE FOR THE TRUTH. That lukewarm indifferent attitude goes hand in hand with another attitude: No love for the Truth. These are the kind of people who love fiction & lies. These people acquiesce to someone in authority handing them a pre-packaged box of “truth”. Whether they are taking the prepackaged truth from the World’s news media or other distributors of disinfo, or whether they go to a church or kingdom hall to get their prepackaged truth, these people don’t love the truth to seek it themselves. They are irresponsible. They want to be spoon fed. Once they get their packaged box of truth, they are sure they have arrived & go no further. For them, saying the sinner’s prayer, or getting some Holy water sprinkled on them as a child by a Catholic priest, or joining the WT Society is enough. They are now “in the truth”. They want no personal responsibility for discerning the divine and the divine’s truth & will. The Word says that without a love for the truth, a person will not be saved in the end times, because powerful, incredible deceptions will proliferate.(B) In fact, the verses here are so powerful, let me quote them. Even if you have read them, they bear repeating!…

2 THES 2:9-10: “The coming of the lawless one [Anti Christ] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Who is excluded from the future city of paradise, in other words is not in the Book of Life?? The Word says that “whoever loves and practices a lie” will be excluded.(C)

LACK OF STEADFASTNESS, FORTITUDE, COURAGE & GRIT. There are quite a few scriptures that command God’s people to be courageous and not to fear the enemy.(D) “Thou shalt be steadfast, and fear not.”(E) Those who don’t have grit & courage will fall away. “Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day [day of Christ’s return] will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin [Anti Christ] is revealed, the son of perdition.”(F) “Standfast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”(G) “…beloved,…beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.”(H)

OBEYING WORLDLY AUTHORITIES W/OUT A CONSCIENCE. Widespread sinning is done because people do things without filtering their acts through a filter of “what does God approve?” This is referred to at PHIL 2:21: “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.” If an authority tells them to sin, and the person can selfishly gain from following the order, then the person does it, mistakenly thinking that God winks at their sin/iniquity, because someone in authority ordered it. The Nazis at Nuremberg tried to use this defense, and were told it doesn’t carry merit. It becomes increasingly dangerous as the World system gets deeper into evil, to just blindly obey it. “INIQUITY” means acting without moral or spiritual values. (Iniquity is condemned in hundreds of scriptures.) It is a widespread practice for people to put their brains on hold, & to simply obey. This is really selfishness. To benefit from their bosses approval, they are willing to harm others. Scriptures are against this, for instance: “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”(I) “Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s.”(J) A verse that relates to this, if one thinks it through, is: “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, & shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” (K)

NORMALCY BIAS. Wikipedia defines this: “The normalcy bias, or normality bias, is a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster & its possible effects. This may result in situations where people fail to adequately prepare…” The Word of God has given people no excuse for normalcy bias in light of possible major disasters. In the books of MT and REV (& other books with prophecies) many major disasters are predicted for the end times. The book of Revelations says at its beginning, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it…”(L) The Word of God predicts major earthquakes, large losses of life, major wars, & widespread deception in our times. The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse are to bring us plagues, super diseases, famine, civil strife, large wars, & death. In EZK 14:21, God lists His “four disastrous acts of judgment”: sword, famine, wild beasts, & pestilence, against the idolatrous elders of Israel. The 4 Horsemen symbolically link the riders to these judgments, or similar judgments in EZK 6:11-12. In other words, we have repeated scriptural warnings. To not believe God’s warnings, & to not prepare accordingly is to ignore God’s Word, and to accept the curses & consequences of ignoring one’s Creator God.
