SPIRITUAL LESSONS FROM HISTORY: Another informative fun look at history & its lessons. (12 AUG 2016)

The goal of this is for us to enjoy experiencing the lessons of history while gaining wisdom. Much of this is from the old history books that have been discarded or banned to special libraries.

WATCH OUT, YOU MAY JUST GET WHAT YOU WANT. Some readers will remember from my Be Wise As Serpents (1991) that one of the three primary goals of Freemasonry (& the Illuminati) has been the utter destruction of “religion” (When the goal was first written down, the word “religion” back then meant specifically Christianity—it was deemed by society the only religion, anything else was false religion. In modern times, the word has a different meaning.) You may also remember that I broke down how the French Revolution was planned, inspired and led by Illuminati members. One can look to that Revolution to see their methods & goals. Almighty God has told man that He will allow man to get what he wants—the desires of their hearts. Let’s look at 2 Illuminati philosophers who got what they wanted. Voltaire (the name he picked for himself, fka François-Marie Arouet, 1694-1778) was one of the French Illuminati leaders who hated Christ, & was unable to sleep unless he knew that a Christian woman was being raped, or some priest was being tortured or killed.(A) His final dying words were of absolute terror, when he saw he was headed for hell.(B) Another French Illuminati leader/philosopher during the French Revolution was Robespierre (full name Maximilien François-Marie Isidore de Robespierre!, 1758-1794). He was a Jacobin leader and one of the leaders of the Reign of Terror. His self-image (sort of like A. Crowley) was that he was a monster. He publicly advocated that during a revolution it was duty of the govt. to institute terror. Under his leadership, guillotines went to work! Seeing that the destruction of Christianity was destroying the very fabric of society, and society was dissolving into total disfunctioning chaos, he realized the errors of his anti-Christ philosophy. He began making speeches defending religion (Christianity), and ended his first in defense of Christianity by saying, “If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him.” (C)

HOW GLADIATOR CONTESTS IN THE ROME COLISEUM ENDED. When Constantine decreed the Roman Empire to be Christian, it did not stop pagan customs. For the next century, people in Rome continued to be entertained by watching gladiators kill each other in the coliseum. In 404 A.D., when the gladiators formed up to begin combat, a god-fearing monk ran out on the field of combat & commanded them in the name of Christ to stop. The crowd was angry that their entertainment was being interrupted, and the gladiators decided their first round of combat would be to hack him up. But the crowd was shocked by the death of this godly man, and decided to have the gladiator games stopped. Once stopped, the government realized the correct thing was to ban the games.(D) Oftentimes, it’s taken the blood of Christian martyrs to change a society. This was not the only incident like this in history.

WHY DID THE PAGANS COME TO CHRIST? It is popular for neo-pagans to spout that Europe only became Christian because they were forced to. I have had neo-pagans come up to me & attack Christianity, and say that Europe needs to get back to their true roots that was stolen from them. The truth is that the pagans realized Christianity was far superior to their superstitions…they wanted Christ in their lives, Christ was not forced on them. I was pleased when one of the leaders of Scottish independence spoke at length with me about just this, explaining how the Scottish people had willingly wanted to abandon Druidism & become Christian to obtain the benefits of Christ. In the early 7th century, England was divided up into a handful of Anglo-Saxon kingdoms, the northern one of these was ruled by King Edwin of Northumbria. At a council of the sages of his kingdom, the King announced he realized Christ was the answer to life & that he would destroy the idols of his kingdom, “I will do this myself, for now that the true God has granted me knowledge, who more suitably than I can set a public example, and destroy the idols that I worshipped in ignorance?”(E) The high priest of the Druids, also realizing that Christ had a superior teaching, asked the King for his horse and went and set fire to the Kingdom’s pagan temples. When the pagan gods were silent at all this desecration, the people realized the idols were useless, and they followed their godly king. Applying godly principles, King Edwin brought peace & order to his land, during a time when violence was widespread & commonplace in England. Bede, who translated the bible book of John into the common language of the people, and who admired Edwin, wrote: “It is told that at the time there was so much peace in Britannia, that whenever King Edwin’s power extended, as is said proverbially right up to today, even if a woman with a recently born child wanted to walk across the whole island, from sea to sea, she could do so without anyone harming her.”(F)

THE ELITE WILLING TO SACRIFICE THE CHILDREN TO STOP CHRISTIANS. Catherine de Medici, of the Medici elite bloodline which I have exposed, sent her daughter to a Protestant prince in marriage knowing that the Protestants would come to the wedding thinking all was peaceful. Giving the daughter in marriage (& being willing to sacrifice her) was a ruse to entrap the Protestants. Thinking they were going to a royal wedding, 30,000 Protestant wedding goers were trapped and killed in the Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Day in 1572 in Paris.(G)

THE HOLY SPIRIT ANNOINTS A BOY WITH HIS PRESENCE. You will look in vain for mention of what the Holy Spirit has done in the history books. But the Holy Spirit has touched many lives, incl. mine, & changed history. You are reading this today, because the Holy Spirit made His presence known to me as a boy in the countryside helping my grandfather farm. Likewise, a young boy named Jonathan Edwards, was walking in his family’s pasture, when an overpowering sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit came upon him. He was able to see the glory of God in all the things around him and sense the love & wisdom of God. Before this manifestation of the Spirit, he had been fearful of thunder & lightening, but soon after his encounter a thunderstorm came up and he had peace and a sense of God’s awe at what He had created. After the Spirit came to him, he began to sense God’s presence in his life and creation around him.(H) He led a great revival, bringing many back to Christ, and his sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”, became a classic of early American literature.
HOLY SPIRIT ANNOINTS A THEOLOGIAN WITH HIS PRESENCE. There was 17th century theologian who knew all about the Bible & theology with his head. It was all head knowledge. As he describes it, “My theology I grasped with the head, but not with the heart; it was more a dead science than a living knowledge.” He knew how to define all the religious terms, but had nothing in his heart. He could speak intelligently of theological concepts but he did not have Christ. One day the Holy Spirit came to him & he received Christ in his heart, and it changed his life! His name was August Hermann Francke.(I)

WHEN A MAN MODELS CHRIST. Every now and then a person actually takes to heart the full teachings of Christ and turn their life over to the Holy Spirit so completely that people see that person’s life reflect the light of Christ. One such person was Solomon Stoddard of Northhampton, Conn. (1672-1729) whose example of life was so excellent, that many people sought to copy his example. Even the native Americans esteemed him and named him “the Englishmen’s God”.(H again)

FINAL WORDS. These are a few tidbits from history. There are many more examples of these things throughout the world’s history that show the glory of God and honor those who follow His best gift to mankind, Christ our Messiah. Have a great day my friend, & may God bless you!
