The Perfect Solution. Ever get caught where nothing seems right, everything you can think of would just make things worse? You’re not the only one. The most incredible Christlike man I’ve spent time with was a role model to teach me the Perfect Solution. I am not going to articulate how to do it in this article, only to say that it is based on the greatest moral teaching given to mankind by YHWH by way of Moses, and then retaught by Christ. What this Christlike man showed me was that we can assertively lift people up to become beautiful by preserving everyone’s rights and dignity and teaching others to respect us and be fair to us, by first giving them respect and true love and then keeping after them until they return the respect and fairness back to us. Until individuals and people’s learn to respect each other’s rights, and build each other up in assertive respectful love, we will continue to have conflicts. Moses taught, “Thou shalt not hate…nor bear a grudge…but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am YHWH.…the stranger…shall be as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself.” LEV 19:17a,18,34. Christ retaught this and said, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” What makes Moses’ teaching so significant?? It was about 1,000 years ahead of anything similar. Buddha, a thousand years later said, “Let a man overcome anger by kindness, evil by good.” (Lao Tza and Confucius were slightly earlier than Buddha but in the same general time frame.) The moral code handed humanity by Moses was different from any prior or anything soon to come. Perhaps a short history lesson will put it in proper context…from 2200 B.C. onward we have records of pagan temples in Asia, Europe and Egypt filled with temple prostitutes, and in some places it was standard to put all the teenage girls through such a service. From the beginning of written history, the Middle East kings and Egyptian rulers were on sadistic glory hunts where ruthless wars of conquest were waged, and POWs put to death or added to population of slaves. Concepts of kindness, honesty, and equality were in general rarely seen. The Assyrians were famous for their cruelty (they took pride in it) and their male priests went naked. Infant sacrifice was common. The ancient peoples were kept in fear by superstitions and the power of the Mystery Religions. Historically two men did more to change humanities’ ideas of right and wrong than everyone else together: Moses and Christ. And the foundation of their teachings is built upon empathy and compassion, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you. And love your neighbor as yourself.”
