The ANTIDOTE to SATAN’S BIGGEST DEVICE: Sacred Hideaways.
Christ talked about a quiet nook where the world is shut out, & we meet our heavenly Father. A sacred hideaway is the antidote to all the distractions of the world. Such places make us feel like our spiritual batteries are re-energized.
Streams like the one in my fb profile inspire me. I was baptized in a Kansas creek several miles downstream from one of our secluded pastures which had a spring hidden into the backside of a rolling hill. Under the wide blue skies, where prairie grass danced to open breezes, life seemed to stand still. A profound stillness as big as the sky would engulf & pacify me in its peace. My eyes never tired from watching the spring pump forth gurgling fresh live water, & I’d be amused to study the sweet tasting merry beverage bubbling around the limestone rocks as it began its journey.
I’d never cease thanking YHWH for the privilege to enjoy such an inspiring, refreshing sacred spot. One day I wrote, “The river and its river bed were friends. The more downstream they went, the more the river’s life became part of its bed, and the bed part of the river’s life. Quietly they hugged each other as they traveled together through different landscapes, learning to know each other’s curves and little pieces, and sharing their water of love to all. You my friend are a river of love, and I am a bed to carry and give you rest. May our friendship continue to flow.” Later, my pen recorded, “We learn from the river, so colorful & winding, with eddies & rapids, to flow and not to conquer.” My soul would lose touch w/ the noise and iniquity of humanity and would commune with Abba at my sacred spot. As I merged with the peace of God, slowly, out on the still prairie, my senses would gain acuity, & I would hear sounds miles away, which would further enhance my sense of closeness to the Creator. “Be still, and know that I am God…” PS 46:10
The world is full of sacred spots, which heavenly Father makes holy with His presence. And nature shouts the glory of the Creator. Christ taught, “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” And at Mark 1:35, we see Christ actually doing this, early in the morning he goes into a “solitary place”, an olive garden. The olive garden is still there, and one of the trees which was alive back then still lives. When I gazed at it, I thought, this tree got to witness Christ praying that night. “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” Our souls find those sacred places to meet the divine…& our worship of our heavenly Father becomes continual, “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.”
One of the most powerful sensations is to be heard. Being heard also includes that the listener has received the full message & takes the speaker seriously. Heavenly Father also wants to be heard; He yearns to be understood. But we are easily distracted. Satan’s biggest tool is simply distraction. So He suggests that we find some quiet time in a spot that His presence will make holy. Christ did not direct his disciples to build places of worship, for remember he exclaimed that the beauty of a simple flower was greater than Solomon’s robes. Do we really think we can do better than God Almighty? Why not pay our respects by enjoying the good things He created. Like the stillness of those Kansas prairie slopes dotted with Cottonwood & Osage Orange trees, there is a place of peace inside you, a hush in your heart. Don’t forget about the prayer closet in your heart, which is near to the heart of Abba.
There are many special spots, Mt. Fuji, Mt. Sinai, the springs at Lourdes, the Ganges River, the Dakota Black Hills, and countless others. The Illuminati have observed spiritual ley lines, and built elaborate Gothic cathedrals over these spiritual sites, whose mind blowing architecture alters one’s consciousness. Worldwide, great places of worship have been created to strike awe into the soul & fiber of the worshipper. But these things are irrelevant to the simple teachings of Christ. Christ did not direct us to the great temples of man, but to the presence of God. Christ said that we enter into true worship when we come to the Father in Spirit & in truth. We are not dependent upon entering the Ganges River or some awesome mind-blowing Cathedral that took hundreds of years to build. We can find our private spot (alijah) wherever we shut out the world, and enter into the bliss of His presence, coming to Him in His Spirit & in His truth. May the Spirit of Peace & Truth rule in your heart my friend.
